Gate valves

Gate valves are designed for fully open or fully closed situations. They are installed in a pipeline network as isolation valves and may not be used as control valves. When you want to open the valve you do it counter-clockwise and close it clockwise, the spindle of the valve makes an up-and-down movement on the threaded part.


Gate valves are perfect in set-ups that need to ensure minimum pressure loss and full flow. When fully opened, a gate valve has no obstructions in the flow area, resulting in a very low pressure drop.

A gate valve is a multi-turn valve, which means that the valve is operated by a threaded spindle. Because the spindle has to turn several times to go from an open to a closed position, the slow operation also prevents water pooling effects.
